Dr. Wei Peng received her Ph.D. from Xiamen University and currently she is a full professor at Shandong University. She is a recipient of the “Qilu Young Scholar” and “Taishan Young Scholar” awards and is supported by the “Excellent Young Scientists Fund of Shandong Province”. Her study focuses on multiscale modeling of complex biological systems and the mechanistic understanding of enzymatic catalysis. She employs a range of multiscale computational approaches including molecular dynamics simulations, quantum mechanics/molecular mechanics (QM/MM) hybrid methods along with metadynamics to address fundamental questions in enzyme-catalyzed reactions that are often inaccessible to conventional experimental techniques. To date, Dr. Peng has published approximately 40 papers as (co-)first or (co-)corresponding author in several prestigious journals such as Nature Catalysis and Journal of the American Chemical Society. Her work has received over 900 citations with a h-index of 18.
