Prof. Hosam Bayoumi Hamuda

Prof. Dr. Hosam Bayoumi Hamuda is currently a Professor at Óbuda University, Hungary. He previously served as Senior Researcher and Deputy Director of the Research Group for Environmental Microbiology at the Hungarian Academy of Sciences, Budapest. He holds a B.Sc. in Chemistry and Botany and an M.Sc. in Biological Sciences from Garyounis University, Libya, and earned his PhD and University Doctor degrees from Gödöllő University of Agricultural Sciences and Eötvös Loránd University, Hungary. He also received the C.Sc. degree from the Hungarian Academy of Sciences, a Doctor Habilitation in Environmental Sciences, and the Professor degree from Szent István University. Prof. Hamuda is the President of the International Council of Environmental Engineering Education (ICEEE) since 2010 and a member of several national and international scientific organizations. He has directed MSc and PhD programs in microbial and environmental biotechnology and currently serves on multiple doctoral schools. He has delivered over 125 plenary and keynote lectures, served on more than 100 scientific committees, edited over 20 international proceedings volumes, and actively contributes as an editor and reviewer for numerous international journals.
Research Interests: microbial and soil biotechnology, waste and wastewater management, soil health and biodiversity, biofertilizers and biocontrol, environmental nanotoxicology, public and environmental health, xenobiotics, climate change, and global environmental security.
