Dr. Meera Srivastava has superannuated as Principal, Government College, Lunkaransar, affiliated with MGS University, Bikaner, Rajasthan, India. She has devoted over 38 years to postgraduate teaching and research in the field of Zoology, with a special focus on Entomology, as well as studies related to sheep and camels. Her pioneering research on eco-friendly botanical and green insecticides has received wide recognition. She served in the Department of Zoology, Government Dungar College, Bikaner, for more than 32 years and held the position of Head of the Department for over a decade. She has also served as Convener of the Board of Studies in Zoology and as a Member of the Academic Council, MGS University, Bikaner. Presently, she continues to contribute as an External Member of the Board of Studies in Zoology, MGS University, Bikaner; Member, Academic Council (AC) – IASE University, Sardarshahar; Member, AC – Tantia University, Sriganganagar; and Member, AC – RNB University, Bikaner. She has also served on the Panel of Examiners for numerous universities and as a Vice-Chancellor’s nominee on various college selection committees. Under her supervision, 24 scholars have been awarded M.Phil. and 20 scholars have received Ph.D. degrees. She has contributed over 115 research publications in reputed national and international journals, with an approximately equal number in conference proceedings. Dr. Srivastava has participated in more than 100 conferences and has represented India in several international events held in Thailand, Dubai, Sri Lanka, Malaysia, Mauritius, Nepal, Las Vegas, Indonesia, Paris, Rome, Vietnam, and Japan, where she delivered invited talks, chaired or co-chaired technical sessions, and served as a jury member and panelist. She has also delivered online keynote lectures at international conferences organized in China and Bangladesh. She has undertaken important organizational roles, including serving as Joint Organizing Secretary of the International Conference on Advances in Ecological Research, Co-Chairperson of the International Conference on Emerging Frontiers and Challenges in Radiation Biology, and Co-convener of the 4th International Science Congress. In January 2023, she was invited to deliver a talk at the 108th Indian Science Congress, one of the most prestigious scientific gatherings inaugurated by the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi Ji. Dr. Srivastava is a Fellow of four and Life Member of six different academic bodies and currently serves on the Editorial Board of 22 national and international journals. She has also been honored with more than 30 distinguished awards and recognitions for her outstanding academic and research contributions.
