Prof. CHAN Man Nin

The Chinese University of Hong Kong

Professor CHAN Man Nin is an Associate Professor of the Department of Earth and Environmental Sciences in the Faculty of Science at The Chinese University of Hong Kong, where he has served since 2014. His research focuses on ambient air pollution, with a particular emphasis on the sources and chemical characteristics of particulate matter (PM). Professor Chan leads a research group that conducts laboratory and chamber experiments to investigate the formation and transformation mechanisms of PM. His work aims to deepen the understanding of PM sources and concentration, contributing to improved air quality assessment and management. He earned his Ph.D. in Environmental Science and Engineering from the California Institute of Technology. Prior to joining CUHK, he was a postdoctoral fellow in the Chemical Sciences Division at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory.
