Prof. James Clark is Emeritus Professor at the University of York where he Founded the world leading Green Chemistry Centre of Excellence and the Circa Renewable Chemistry Institute. He is also a Chair Professor at Fudan University in China and Director of the green technology company Addible and the consultancy company JHC Sustainability. He has held Visiting Professorships in France and South Africa. His areas of interest include waste valorisation,green solvents and heterogeneous catalysis as well as major environmental issues such as the circular- andbio-economies. He was founding scientific editor of the world-leading journal Green Chemistry and is now editor-in-chief for the RSC Green Chemistry book series and he has recently started the new Journal Renewable Chemistry. His research work and his work on education has led to numerous awards including Honorary Doctorates from universities in Belgium, Germany, Portugal and Sweden as well as prizes from the RSC, SCI, ACS and EU including the 2021 European Sustainable Chemistry award. He has given Plenary lectures all over the world and has published over 600 articles (h index 102).
