Prof. Xi Chen received her Bachelor (2010) and Master (2012) degrees from Wuhan University in China. She then obtained her Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from the National University of Singapore (under the supervision of Prof. Ning Yan) in 2016, where she stayed as a postdoc. After that, she joined the China-UK Low Carbon College at Shanghai Jiao Tong University in 2018 and is now an Associate Professor. She is the associate editor of RSC Advances and the Young Editorial Board member of Carbon Neutrality. Her group focuses on the chemical utilizations of various waste resources including biomass, plastics and CO2.Green catalysis is developing to convert these waste resources into high-value chemicals, materials and fuels.
