Prof. Junjie Kang is a researcher in polymer chemistry and biomaterial science. In November2023, she successfully defended her PhD thesis entitled“Bio-based adhesives for wet environments inspired by the natural mussel adhesive”under the supervision of Prof. Esben Thormann, at Technical University of Denmark. After that, she moved to France to undertake a22-months postdoc position atCNRS (the Institute of Chemistry of Environments and Materials of Poitiers IC2MP, Media Catalysis Group).
Junjieiscurrently as an associate researcher (Senior LevelPostdoc Researcher)at the department of forestry and wood technology, Linnaeus University,Sweden. Junjie has a broad research interest, involving polymer synthesis, interfacial chemistry, bio-adhesives development, thermoset resins, and wood engineering. Her projects have closely collaborated with industrial companies from Sweden, France, and Netherlands, such as IKEA, Södra, BI-QEM, Ekamant, FCBA, andAvantium
